Land Registry

Application to change the register (AP1)

On completion of any land purchase, the purchaser's solicitor will have to submit the registration of the title with H.M. Land Registry. This is done by completing HM Land Registry form AP1.

Transfer of part of registered title (TP1)

This is now prepared in the accepted Land Registry style and will be a TP1. Similar to the contract it has the important effect of transferring the legal title in the property to the Buyers. Actually it needs to be stamped first and sent for registration within two months otherwise it becomes null and void. It is also in this document that the new buyers indicate how they are to own the property.
